Q1: What's the difference between SimpiCity and SimpliCity+?

Q2: Can I have fabric samples?
A: Yes, visit our fabric page, click on the + symbol underneath the sample or drag and drop it into the drop box. The samples you have requested will appear in the samplesdrop box to the left of the fabrics ranges. Complete your name, address etc. Your samples will arrive in the post within 48 hours.

Q3: Can I get a headboard at a later date?
A: Yes, you buy a headboard at any time please call us to order.

Q4: How much weight can the storage base take?
A: The wood internal floor of your storage bed is supported on all sides and in the middle with a hidden foot. You can store as much as you need to inside. It won't warp or buckle under the weight.

Q5: Where can I see your beds?
A: As an internet retailer we do not have a network of distributors (that keeps the prices lower), however you are very welcome to visit us by appointment in Nottingham.

Q6: Do your beds come with mattresses?
A: Our storage beds do not come with a mattress. Click here for information on the mattresses we sell.

Q7: What payment options do you offer?
A: Full payment is taken at the point of order, you can pay with all major credit cards. If you prefer you can pay 50% on order and the balance prior to delivery - please call us for more details.

Q8: How does the headboard attach?
A: Our headboards can be attached either to the wall or the bed, we strongly recommend wall mounting as it looks better. We do not attach the headboard to the wall but provide all the brackets you need.

Q9: How high up the wall does the headboard come?
A: Our headboards are not attached to the bed and can be placed at your ideal height, our standard headboard is 60cm tall.

Q10: How much space will I need?
A: You will need to allow for an additional 4cm over and above the standard bed size. For example to fit a King Size (150 x200cm) you will need a space of 154 x 204cm. Click here for external dimensions.

Q11: Can I move the bed easily?
A: Our beds are heavy, and are difficult to move once you have filled it up. Should you need to move your bed regularly, we recommend you order castors with your storage bed.

Q12: Can I have a bed which opens horizontally?
A: We supply a horizontal or side opening mechanism options for our single and Small Double (120x190cm) storage beds. Take a look at our mechanism page.

Q13: Will the bed be able to go up my narrow stairs?
A: Your bed arrives in a number of individual parts designed to fit round the tightest of corners into the narrowest of spaces.

Q14: Can I have a bed made in my own fabric?
A: We offer a bespoke option where you can send us your own fabric for finishing your bed. Ring us on 0845 2000 128 for more details.

Q15: How are your fabrics treated/finished?
A: Fabrics are treated with stain guards and meet UK fire retardation standards.

Q16: What are your fabrics and leathers sourced?
A: Leathers are made from UK hides, then processed in Italy. Our faux suede is from a small fabric house in Holland and our standard fabric is made in the UK.

A: The powerful gas struts aid lifting of the bed as well as enabling it to remain open.
